Jack Flynn: (Picture on the left, winner of the 2024 Brian Bettenhausen Award)

Jack works very hard on his game and spends a large amount of time on the practice range and chipping/putting greens. He also loves to play and work on his game on the course, and is very supportive of the other juniors he plays and associates with. Jack is currently one of the captains of the CCL Blackshirts’ PGA Junior League team. His practice habits and respect toward other team members makes him a great role model and he is always willing to partner with anyone on the team. Keep it up young man!

John Bryson: (Pictured on the right, winner of the 2024 Matt Hayes Award)

John had a very consistent 2024 tournament season. He finished T-17 at the Nebraska Junior Amateur, 13th at the Capital City Championship, T-6 at the Central Nebraska Junior Amateur and 3rd at the Kearney Junior Classic. His consistent play and great finishes was indicative of his fantastic summer season. We can't wait to report on all he has, and will do, in 2025!

Henry Woods was recently fit by Jeff for the the new Callaway Ai200 irons and Callaway Opus wedges. He replaced an older set of Callaways and really likes the feel and consistency of the new clubs. Nice work sir, now, who's next?!

We had our most recent ACE this past Thursday evening. Young Jack Flynn decided to play some holes on the back nine with Thomas Bryson. Well, he stepped up to the 10th tee and...DRAINO! Jack's perfect shot came from roughly 110 yards with his 9-iron. Congratulations Jack...you are now known as, "ACE!" Make sure you keep rubbing that in with dad;)

Our juniors experienced a dominant win over all other Lincoln area Clubs this past week! We are proud of all of you...way to represent CCL!

It was a PERFECT two days for championship golf this past weekend. Join us in congratulating our 2025 Club Champions! (Left) Gregg Boosalis recaptured his title as the Men's Senior Club Champion, (Right) Nick Glasz was able to defend his title as our Men's Net Club Champion and (Middle) Andy Gerch fired an amazing back to back under par round of 71 and 67 to recapture his crown as CCL's Men's Club Champion. Thanks for playing men and congratulations on some wonderfully played golf!

Jeff and Steph Ailes both got fit by Mark within the last two weeks! Steph got fit for a Scotty Cameron 38" Phantom 11 long design. She said “I love the heaviness of this putter since I don’t have to hit my putts as hard!”

Jeff got fit for new wedges. He switched out his worn SM9’s for some new SM10’s. He changed the bounce on both wedges so he now has 56°12 and 60°10. He said “I like how my new 60° feels like it’s gliding through the sand. My old 60° would tend to dig more!”

Michael Springer was fit by Jeff for the new Callaway Elyte driver! The feel of the driver and the ability to get spin down while maintaining shot dispersion helped him hit better drives. Great works sir, now who's next?!

Mark recently fit Chad Kilpatrick for two new wedges this past week. He got the Titleist Vokey SM10 Jet Black - 52°12 F and 58°10S to have a proper gapping between his three wedges. Chad loved the feeling and weighting of the SM10’s and he is looking forward to getting a lot more spin + control compared to his 8 year old SM6 wedge. Great work Chad, now who's next?!

After getting fit by Jack for his new driver this is what Britt Fordham had to say...“Loving my New GT3 driver from Titleist. Got my ball flight lower and under control more. Really appreciated the fitting process!” Great work Britt now who's next?!

Our field of ladies were up for the challenge as they faced some harsh conditions during our Member-Member/Club Championship this week. Despite the cold and wind we still had some great scores being posted! Join us in congratulating our 2025 Member-Member Champions, Stephanie Ailes and Beth Schmeits! You are winners of the hardware and free carts through the 2026 season! As for our Club Champions, congratulations to our GROSS winner, Jennifer Kirkland and our NET winner, Mary Kay Schoettger!
